Merlin’s Beverages

Merlin’s Beverages is a group of companies in the soft drinks industry, founded in 2015 and headquartered in Piatra Neamț, Romania. We develop and produce carbonated beverages and vitamin-enriched waters, included in a portfolio of brands such as vitamin aqua, Pop Cola, Montana, Lemonade, Carbonated Lemonade, and Plafar.

History

From the very beginning, our vision has been to create beverages that combine great taste with functional benefits. Our initial investments focused on building a modern production facility in line with European standards, as well as developing recipes enriched with vitamins and minerals, inspired by international nutrition trends.

In 2015, we launched vitamin aqua, a range of non-carbonated drinks with vitamins and electrolytes, designed for active consumers. Its success established the company as a trendsetter in the functional beverage segment.

In 2018, we expanded our portfolio with Pop Cola, a Romanian carbonated beverage brand created as a local, accessible, and well-balanced alternative.

Since 2020, our investments have focused on sustainability: using recyclable packaging, reducing plastic usage, modernizing production lines, and optimizing energy consumption. We have continued to innovate our recipes and diversify our range to meet consumer preferences.

Today, Merlin’s Beverages is one of the most dynamic local companies in the industry. The vitamin aqua brand dominates the vitamin water category in Romania, holding a market share of over 80%, and the group closed 2022 with a turnover of approximately €16 million.
